The card art of Bainbridge Island artist Susan C. Petersen will be featured May 4-27 at The Island Gallery.

As part of her artistic repertoire, Petersen designs one-of-a-kind keepsake cards using natural fiber papers, hand-gathered pressed flowers, leaves, seaweed and found objects, embellished with paints, inks and pastels.

An artist’s reception is 6 to 8 p.m. on First Friday, May 4.
