Three officers will officially join the Bainbridge Island Police Department Monday.
Jon Bingham, Jon Ledbetter and Jeffrey Horn will take their oath of office at this week’s city council session.
Bingham and Ledbetter join BIPD as two of 17 street officers, while Horn fills the second-in-command post as deputy chief.
Island resident and former Suquamish Police officer, Bingham has served as a reserve officer on Bainbridge for almost six years.
Ledbetter hails from Florida and is Bainbridge’s newest officer.
He started with BIPD Aug. 18.
The city will also welcome former Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Officer Horn to the department.
During his almost 20 years at IMPD, Horn served an array of capacities, including patrol officer, neighborhood resource officer, sex crimes detective and training supervisor.
Horn made the move to Bainbridge earlier this month.
Bingham, Ledbetter and Horn will take their oath of office at the start of this week’s city council meeting.
The Bainbridge Island City Council meets at 7 p.m. Mondays in city hall.
