Washington State Ferries is advising travelers on the Bainbridge Island-Seattle route that the ferry MV Wenatchee has been delayed at the Bainbridge terminal and late afternoon sailings will be delayed.

WSF issued a ferry alert just after 3 p.m. Wednesday and said the 2:55 p.m. sailing from Bainbridge and the 3:45 p.m. sailing from Seattle would be delayed.

WSF did not give a reason for the service interruption.
