Turnout in Kitsap County for the 2019 General Election is nearly at 40 percent, according to the Kitsap County Elections Division.
Ballot counting at the county’s elections headquarters resumes Tuesday, Nov. 12, and officials have estimated that as many as 7,000 late-arriving ballots from across the county will be tallied.
When the ongoing vote count stopped last Friday, a total of 68,262 ballots from Kitsap voters had been counted.
Kitsap County has 174,813 eligible voters, which means turnout stood at 39.05 percent in the last vote tally.
New results are scheduled to be released by the Kitsap County Elections Division by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12.
