Tween territory expert panel set

Parents of students in fifth through eighth grades are invited to register for a talk titled, “Tween Territory: Expert Insights.”

Parents of students in fifth through eighth grades are invited to register for a talk titled, “Tween Territory: Expert Insights.”

The event will be at Woodward Middle School at 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, April 11.

Three distinguished guest speakers will visit Bainbridge to share their expertise on the top issues local parents want to learn more about when it comes to parenting tweens, including: “The Art & Science of Parenting Adolescents: Staying Close While Standing Back” by Julie Metzger, a registered nurse; “Keepin’ It Safe: Tween Safety in a Digital World,” by Stephanie Thomas of the Seattle Police Department, and “Risky Behaviors: Protective Factors in the Second Decade,” with Dr. Leslie Walker.
