Bainbridge Island Genealogical Society will present “Unlock Your Family History!” in partnership with Bainbridge Public Library from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 at the library.
Do you want to learn more about the options and issues surrounding DNA testing? Are you ready to start discovering your own family history? Or, are you just wondering what genealogy and family history research is all about? THE Bainbridge Island Genealogical Society — BIGS — can help with all those things.
For those new to genealogy, the presentation “Getting Started” will be offered at 11 a.m. and again at 1 p.m.
For those who already have DNA results but aren’t sure what to do next, or for people already involved with genealogy and have some specific research questions, attendees can register for a one-on-one help session.
Experienced genealogists will be on hand from BIGS, but the computer-assisted sessions must be scheduled in advance because space is limited.
In order to register for the “Getting Started” presentation or a help session, register at the library or call 206-842-4162.
