Ferry sailings to Bainbridge Island will restart at 11:15 p.m. from Seattle, Washington State Ferries announced just after 11 p.m. Saturday, July 8.

Ferry service to the island was halted just before 10 p.m. after gunfire was reported in Eagle Harbor not far from the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal.

Authorities said a person on a vessel in Eagle Harbor was shooting toward the shoreline, and sailings were canceled while the police response was ongoing.
