The section of Weaver Road between High School Road and Moji Lane NW is temporarily closed due to the dangerous presence of downed high voltage power lines, according to a message from the city of Bainbridge Island sent out just before 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 25.

Drivers and pedestrians are being urged to avoid the area until further notice.
