Snedeker and Jersey are wed
John Gabriel Snedeker and Sara Julie Jersey jumped the broom in an outdoor wedding ceremony on June 15. The newly married couple then celebrated with family and friends at Freeland Hall on Whidbey Island.
The groom, a 1989 graduate of Bainbridge High School, is a project manager and senior land use planner with AHBL consulting firm in Seattle. He is the son of David and Bonnie Snedeker, longtime island residents. The bride is an artist, student and barista. She is the daughter of George Jersey, a resident of Shoreline.
Following a honeymoon in the Oregon mountains, the couple is dividing their time between their house in Shoreline and beloved Wild Sky Cabin in Scenic, Washington.
De Melle and Morgan to wed
Mike and Bobbie Morgan, of Bainbridge Island, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Anne, Bainbridge High School class of 1998, to Brendan De Melle.
The couple met while both worked in Washington, D.C. for Environmental Working Group. After living for a few years on the East Coast, they now reside in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle. Anne and Brendan became engaged on top of Lion’s Head Mountain in Connecticut, with a beautiful view of the surrounding hills and valley.
The love of nature and protection of the environment are deeply held values for both Anne and Brendan. Anne works as a senior consultant for Sustainable Business Consulting in Seattle; Brendan is a research associate for Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
The wedding will be Aug. 9 in Lakeville, Conn. on the campus of the Hotchkiss School.
Schager and Templin engaged
Vern and Tina Schager, of Bainbridge Island are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Renae, to Thomas Paul “TJ” Templin, son of Tom and Kim Templin of Colorado Springs, Colo.
Heather graduated in 2001 from Bainbridge High School and in May 2008 from Creighton University’s School of Nursing in Omaha, Neb. She works as an emergency room nurse at Creighton University Medical Center. TJ is a 2002 graduate of Cheyenne Mountain High School in Colorado Springs and Creighton University in 2006. He is a third-year medical student at Creighton University’s School of Medicine.
A June 26, 2009 wedding is planned at Kiana Lodge, Poulsbo.
