Weekend weather report: Some big surprise | The Bainbridge Blab

Bainbridge Island may see more rain this weekend.

Shocking but true.

Friday’s wet weather is expected to extend through Sunday and beyond.

That’s the latest forecast for the island from the National Weather Service in Seattle.

But on the bright side, there is just a slight chance of showers between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday (the chance of precipitation is 20 percent). Otherwise, the day should be partly sunny, with a high temperature near 50 degrees.

Come Saturday night, the slight chance of showers will persist between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. Sunday, with a slight chance of rain continuing after 4 a.m. The night will be mostly cloudy, and the thermometer will dip to a low around 39.

Later Sunday, there is a slight chance of rain before 10 a.m., then a slight chance of rain after 4 p.m. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 46.

Starting the week, on Martin Luther King Day, there is a 20 percent chance of showers. The forecast calls for partly sunny skies on the island, with a high near 45.

Rain and mostly cloudy skies remain in the forecast through the rest of the week.
