Bainbridge Island may see some long-awaited rain this weekend.

That’s the latest forecast for the island from the National Weather Service in Seattle.

Saturday will see a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 11 a.m. It will stay mostly cloudy, with the high temperature reaching near 70 degrees.

Saturday night, the threat of rain continues (20 percent chance of showers). It will remain mostly cloudy, with a low around 54.

On Sunday, raindrops may keep falling after 11 a.m., as a 20 percent chance of showers remains. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 71, and stay cloudy overnight, with a low around 54.

The sunshine returns on Monday, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 74.

Sunny weather is expected to stick around until midweek.
