Winslow gets ready for annual Girls’ Night Out

Girls’ Night Out, which is expected to draw approximately 300 women, extended its hours this year to 9 p.m. The annual event features special offers and deals at island shops for ladies out on the town. It is a time for girlfriends to let loose, shop, eat and play all while supporting local island businesses.

When the working day is done, girls, they just want to have fun.

And there will be plenty of fun to be had downtown Winslow for the 12th annual Girls’ Night Out from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 10.

“It’s a great excuse to have an afternoon and evening out with your daughter, your girlfriends and your best friends,” said Andrea Mackin, executive director of the Bainbridge Island Downtown Association who helped organize the event.

Pink lanyards on sale for $10 at Blinx, Bon Bon, Eloisa, The Berry Patch,

Sweet Deal and The 122 and will get shoppers special deals, refreshments, gifts and more at participating shops.

The festival of female delights won’t end at 9 p.m., however.

The island’s trendy hot spot, The 122, will keep the party going  into the night with music, drinks and good times.

Every $10 spent at stores participating in Girls’ Night Out earns shoppers one raffle ticket good for prizes given at  The 122’s after-party.

The after-party will provide drink specials while

DJ Traxx lays down beats with an electro/hip hop/house vibe for ladies to dance the night away.
