Two-term Kitsap County Commissioner Ed Wolfe plans to seek re-election in November.
Wolfe was first elected in 2014, then ran unopposed and was re-elected in 2018 for a second four-year term.
The commissioner chairs the board, and the Kitsap Transit Board. Wolfe was a Kitsap County attorney for 20 years. He is a past president of the county Bar Association and a former judge pro tem in county, municipal and district courts.
“We’ve accomplished much over the last eight years,” Wolfe says in a news release. “These last few have been especially challenging as we’ve worked to support our families and small businesses emerge from these difficult days.”
Wolfe said his priorities include supporting “a proactive local government that provides access and a voice for all of Kitsap.”
He said citizens should have a voice in local government services and programs, and “the ability to reach their local leaders with questions and concerns about their community.”
