If you can avoid going across Agate Bridge Monday you probably should.
State Department of Transportation crews are working there, causing miles of backups and waits of up to half an hour as of 11 a.m.
That is in both directions of Highway 305, from Poulsbo and from Bainbridge Island. The work is expected to continue until 5 p.m.
Also, motorists can expect delays on the same stretch from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. each day this week due to one-way alternating traffic.
The night work will allow utility crews to make repairs. After a break over the weekend, that work will conclude Nov. 23.
