Augusta “Gusti” Vestman, age 93, died April 8 at Messenger House Care Center on Bainbridge Island.

She was born June 14, 1911, in Stromsund, Sweden.

She spent all of her life in Sweden, until moving to the United States two years ago to live with her son and his wife on Bainbridge Island.

She worked for many years as the head bookkeeper for a large import/export company in Stockholm, retiring in 1975.

She enjoyed many trips to the United States, as well as travel to many parts of the world.

She is survived by her son Tord and his wife Janet; grandson Gary and his wife Denise, and their children Justin, Alexandra, Geoffrey, Krista and Benjamin, all of Poulsbo; and grandson Kurt of Boise, Idaho, and his children, Ashley, Nick, Michael and twins Hayley and Keeley.
