Betty J. Barnett of Sultan Washington passed away quietly on June 24, 2016 in Monroe, Washington of natural causes.
At 94 Betty lived a full life. She grew up on Bainbridge Island, Washington, marrying Forrest C. Barnett in 1943 she moved to Bellevue and after retiring they moved to Sultan, Washington.
Betty loved traveling, gardening, reading and visiting with friends and family. Betty was a true example of the “independent woman”. Widowed in 1990, she was independent, intelligent and learned to continue to enjoy life and lived it to its fullest.
We thank Regency Care Center in Monroe, as well as Hospice of Providence for their special care in her last days.
She is survived by her son Michael (Verna) Barnett of Gold Bar, Washington; sister Dorothy (Raymond) Vodopest of Seattle; and niece Jennie (Vodopest) Shink of Everett, Washington.
In lieu of gifts or flowers donations may be made to the Sultan Food Bank, or Sultan Fire Department.
There will be no memorial service at her request.
