Bjorn William Sangder died on May 7 at his home on Bainbridge Island. He was 100.
He was born on February 21, 1909 in Seattle. His first job was as a paperboy for the Seattle Times. He began working at the Lake Union Dry-docks in the early 1930s and retired as a supervisor in 1974.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and life on the water; from the time he was a young man, he told everyone that he was going to buy a house on Bainbridge Island for his retirement. In his later years his favorite times were being the “camp cook” with his son and grandsons.
