Diane Consuela Roza passed away peacefully Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the Olympic Alzheimer’s Residence in Gig Harbor. She was 76.
Born in Seattle on July 9, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Felix “Joe” and Margaret (Rae/Duyungan) Mislang.
Diane was a teacher in Catholic schools for many years, and Director of Religious Education at St. Cecelia’s Catholic Church on Bainbridge Island for more than 20 years. She earned her master’s degree in Theological Studies from Seattle University, and took great pride in her accomplishments and ability to inspire others.
Preceded in death by her husband in 2004, Diane is survived by her loving and devoted daughter Tamera Roza of Bainbridge Island, and two grandchildren, Spencer and Teia.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 18 at St. Cecelia’s Catholic Church, 1310 Madison Ave. North Bainbridge Island, where a viewing and Rosary will be offered from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. The interment will be made at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 19 in Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to assist with expenses after a long and costly battle with Alzheimer’s.
