Donald D. Flodin died March 4 in Long Island, N.Y.
Don was born Feb. 27, 1927 on Bainbridge Island. He was part of the early pioneer families on Bainbridge, and attended McDonald, Lincoln and Bainbridge High School. He joined the U.S. Army, and attended University of Washington. After graduation, he moved to the East Coast where he had done summer stock at Cape Cod during his high school years.
He participated in many plays while at UW, including Showboat and Penthouse Theaters. He worked at the United Nations for a short time and at Avco Corp. After retirement, he settled in Long Island, Southhampton, N.Y.
He is survived by sisters Betty Barnett and Dororthy Vodopest (Raymond); nephew Michael Barnett (Verna); and nice Jennie Shink (Bob).
