Donald Paul Adams, age 88, died May 2 at Hospice House in Anderson, S.C.
Born in Johnstown, Penn., he was a graduate of Penn State University and was a member of Phi Psi fraternity.
He led a distinguished career as a Federal Bureau of Investigation special agent in New York City before retiring to Sun City, Ariz.
He and his wife, Martha Paulson Adams, enjoyed travel, astronomy and hiking.
In 2000, he moved to the Inn At Seneca in Seneca, S.C.
He is survived by children Susan Brown of Seneca, S.C., Sally Richard of Bainbridge and James R. Adams of Lititz, Penn; grandchildren Lora Miles, Richard and Steven Brown, Tracy Noble, and Elizabeth and Woody Adams; and great-grandchildren Stephanie and Courtney Miles, Alexander Brown and Maggie Noble.
He was preceded in death by his wife.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Seneca Presbyterian Church in Seneca, S.C.
