Dora Jean “Dodee” Adams

June 24, 1913 – September 14, 2011

      Dora Jean “Dodee” Adams died peacefully at Harrison Hopsital on Wednesday September 14th, 2011.

      Dodee was born June 24, 1913 in Crosby, England to parents Harold and Jane Rees. She moved to the United States (California) before she was 20.

      She married Jack Adams on November 5, 1939 in California. Her husband joined the service in 1941 and retired from military duty in 1961. The Adams moved to North Kitsap in 1959.

      Dodee and Jack joined Bainbridge Alliance Church (now Island Church) in January of 1986 and were faithful members until their deaths.

      She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jack in September, 1989.

      Dodee was a lady of devout Christian faith who loved to read – especially the Bible. She wants everyone to know that Jesus Christ has paid the penalty for our sins and offers eternal life to all who accept it.

      Dodee not only loved to read the Bible, but loved to teach as well. Among her many interests were gardening, writing (especially poetry), and travel.

      She is survived by her son John R. Adams of Poulsbo, WA.

      A service for Dodee will be held on Saturday October 1st, 2011 at Island Church – 9624 Sportsman Club Road NE – Bainbridge Island – at 10:30 A.M.
