Gayle L. Johnson was ushered into Heaven early Tuesday the 10th of January 2017 in Kingston, WA, at her home of 25 years. She was born the 24th of December 1944 to Milton and Georgia Alberthal, the second child
of four.
Growing up in Seattle, she was a daddy’s girl who only left home to marry her high school sweetheart and soulmate, Billie Johnson on the 1st of May 1965.
Married adventures took her dragging feet around the world on USMC orders and gospel missions. From Seattle to South Africa, they collected memories while raising their two children Kurtis and Kimberly. At home in the pacific Northwest, Gayle primarily spent her time in ministry as well as supporting Billie in business until he passed in January of 2000.
She was a more devoted grandmother to her four grand kids than could be found anywhere and Gayle’s love for her great grand kids appeared infinite. She lived a life rich in faith, humble generosity, and laughter. She will be deeply missed by those left behind, but her legacy is one of unshakable hope and joy.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to please consider making a donation to Scarlet Road, a non-profit rescue organization, in her honor.
