Gregg ‘Gigi’ Louise Thornton, age 41, died Jan. 31 at her Bainbridge Island home after a brief illness.

She was born Dec. 10, 1960 in Seattle to Horace Edward and Helen Marie (Roth) Thornton.

She is survived by her longtime companion, Steve Tarabochia of Bainbridge Island; three sisters, Melody (Tim) Gurney of Sherman, Conn., Robin (Tom) Beaudry and their children, Cami, Cara and Gabrial of Federal Way; and Kim (Jack) Chakoian and their two sons, Jake and Josh of Federal Way.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Filipino American Hall.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to the Progressive Animal Welfare Society of Bainbridge Island, or the Bainbridge Island Fire Department.

The family also asks that blood be donated in her memory.
