We were heartbroken to have to say our goodbyes to our dad Henry T. Carrillo on Wednesday Dec. 27, 2017.
He was the thread to our family, always keeping us together no matter what the distance. He made the long-distance move from California to Washington more than 20 years ago, never leaving his family or his hometown far behind.
Henry Carrillo was born Dec. 20, 1953.
During his career as a tile setter/contractor, his hardworking mentality never wavered him from always making family his top priority. Every year he made it a point to go back home to visit family and friends, never missing milestones no matter what they may be. Summers were spent with his grandkids, Fourth of July being his favorite holiday here on the island.
One of the friendliest men, he made friends wherever he went; his overwhelming love for people showed as he was always willing to lend a helping hand in any capacity. He will be dearly missed by all who had the chance to meet him.
He leaves behind a large family including his wife Kathy Carrillo; son Henry Carrillo; daughter Margaret Estrada; daughter in-law Mardi; grandkids Anthony, Adam, Andrew, Alex, Arthur, Areanna, Ava, Marissa and Aliyah; great-grandsons Anthony and Alijah; as well as his mother, brothers, sisters and extended family. Preceding him were son Conrad Carrillo and brothers David and Gilbert.
There will be a memorial in his honor at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 17 at the Filipino American Community Hall on Bainbridge Island, 7566 High School Road.
