Jake Morton, 57, of Suquamish passed away at his home on Feb. 24, 2017. He was born in Fayetville, Arkansas on June 15, 1959.
Jake moved from Gooding, Idaho in 1977 to Shelton, Washington, where he was a mechanic. Jake left Shelton in 1983 and moved to Suquamish to reside and spend the rest of his life as a mechanic. Jake leaves behind his son John and daughter-in- law Shelena Morton of Belfair, his son Josh Morton of Bremerton. He also leaves behind his two grandchildren, Tucker and Isaac, along with his mother Marjorie Howlett of Shelton, sisters Jackie Bredseon of Hoquiam, Tonya Demmon of Shelton, brothers, Jim Chambers of Nevada, and Carl Morton of Silverlake. Jake was preceded in death by his father Danny Howlett, brother Duanne Morton, and many other family members. Jake also leaves behind a very special woman in his life, his beloved Teresa whom he proudly adored.
Services and a potluck will be held at The House of Awakened Culture, March 11, 2017 1-4 p.m. 7235 NE Parkway Suquamish, Washington, 98392.
