James D. Morrison, age 87, died May 26 at Northwoods Lodge in Silverdale.
He was born Jan. 8, 1915 in Vancouver, BC to William and Jamesina (Dean) Morrison.
He led a career as an automotive machinist. Over the years he operated Morrison Motor Service of Beachon Hill and Morrison’s Richfield Service of Bainbridge Island.
He was married Jan. 8, 1967 to Anna (Bussman) Morrison in Port Ludlow, Wash., where he resided until his death.
He was a member of the Port Ludlow Elks, the Queen City Yacht Clubs and the Machinist Union.
He is survived by his brother Jack Morrison of Seattle; son Dean J. Morrison of University Place; daughter Darla J. Brown of Edmonds; six grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. June 11 at the Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove in Poulsbo.
Remembrances may be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
