James S. Dahlstrom, age 66, died Feb. 13 in Seattle after an 18-month battle with cancer.

He spent most of his life in the Seattle area until he and his wife moved to Bainbridge Island, where he built his own home.

He had a successful career in sales and service, and enjoyed entertaining, traveling and camping.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kathy; his sisters Sally Swank and Janet White; daughter Elizabeth Nelson of Seattle; son Mike Dahlstrom of Seattle; son Tim Dahlstrom of New Jersey; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death in 2001 by his son Steve.

A funeral service was held Feb. 18. Remembrances may be made to Hospice of Kitsap County in Silverdale, Wash.
