Joyce (Setsue Shiba) Pritchard of Bainbridge Island died July 14. She was 62.

She was born Feb. 8, 1943 at the Japanese American internment camp in Poston, Ariz.

She and her family lived on Bainbridge for the past 16 years. She taught middle-school English, most recently at Poulsbo Junior High School.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce; sons Arlen and Meadow; daughters Allana and Winter; sisters Taka, Yoko and Kyoko; and brother Katz.
