Judy (Stahl) O’Hare passed away Aug. 10, 2018.

She was born in Portland, Maine on Sept. 3, 1945.

She grew up in New England and received her nursing degree in 1966. She married Tom O’Hare on Dec. 30, 1967 and moved to Bainbridge Island in 1969 where she was a devoted mother of Shannon O’Hare Homewood (Ken) of Silverdale, and Kenneth O’Hare (Sandy) of Bainbridge Island.

She leaves 5 much loved grandchildren; Carson Homewood, Delaney Homewood, Gracie Homewood, Logan O’Hare and Darby O’Hare.

Judy taught childbirth classes on Bainbridge Island from 1972-1991. She was the on-call delivery nurse for the Winslow Clinic (1974 – 1984), a pediatric clinic nurse at the Winslow Clinic (later Virginia Mason Winslow Clinic) (1979 -2007) and a clinic nurse at The Doctors Clinic and then the Swedish Bainbridge Clinic. (2007-2017).

Judy was an active bicyclist, runner, skier and soccer player and participated in sprint triathalons as recently as 2017.

Judy died at home surrounded by her loving family following a very brief illness.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 at Wing Point Golf and Country Club, 811 Cherry St., Bainbridge Island.
