Karen Morgan Driscoll

Karen Morgan Driscoll died on April 3 after a long fight with breast cancer. She was 68.

She was born Nov. 18, 1941, in Pensacola, Fla. to Lt. Edward Maxwell Morgan USN and Shirley Greening Morgan.

Karen moved to Bainbridge Island in 1969. She started a Montessori school in North Kitsap, worked for the City of Poulsbo, and the Makah and Suquamish Tribes. She helped run Paper Products Etc. in Winslow.

After almost 30 years on Bainbridge, the couple bought 60 acres near Port Townsend.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Andrew; father Edward Morgan; daughters Hilary Driscoll Hall and Heather Driscoll Paetsch; aunt Virginia Greening Nisker; four grandchildren Maxwell Hall, Elaine Hall, Sebastian Paetsch and Elliott Paetsch.

She was predeceased by her mother Shirley Morgan and uncle Charles Greening.

A memorial service is at 4 p.m. April 17, at Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 2333 San Juan Ave., Port Townsend. Donations may be made to the Puget Sound Blood Bank.
