Pastor Kenneth Wymer died on Jan. 19 in Poulsbo. He was 78.
He was born to Jesse Joe and Eliza Wymer on March 14, 1930, in Wenatchee. He graduated from Nooksack Valley High School, Practical Bible Training Institute, and Liberty University.
On Oct. 9, 1948, he married Marjorie Romberg in Sumas, Wash.
Before being called to ministry, Kenneth was a section foreman on the Northern Pacific Railroad. He enjoyed hunting, trapping, gardening, and restoring Model A Fords.
For over 40 years, until his retirement in 2002, he served as the pastor of Bainbridge First Baptist Church.
His retirement years were spent living in Skagit County on the property of his childhood home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and two sisters.
He is survived by Marjorie, his beloved wife of 60 years; their children Kathleen (Charles) Ewing, Daniel (Judith) Wymer, Timothy (Kathryn) Wymer, David (Susan) Wymer and Joseph (Penny) Wymer; 17 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two sisters.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 1 p.m. Jan. 31 at Bainbridge First Baptist Church.
