Michael J. Wurl
Michael J. Wurl, age 53, died April 4 after a battle with cancer.
He was born April 14, 1949 in Ashland Wisc. to Milton J. and Kathryn P. Wurl.
A graduate of the University of Washington School of Drama, he devoted his energies to theatrical endeavors.
He later found his calling in floral design and the culinary arts.
He served on the University of Washington’s School of Drama Advisory Board, where he was past Chairman. His focus was on the Professional Actors Training Program.
He was active in many philanthropic and charitable efforts in Seattle, and enjoyed sharing his wit and kindness with family and friends.
He is survived by his life partner, Mark Levine; brothers John R. Wurl and Thomas A. Wurl; sister Ary Ann (Wurl) Pelletier; and several nieces, nephews and godchildren.
A gathering of remembrance for family and friends will be held April 12 at The Ruins in Seattle.
