Mons K. Lunde, age 88, died suddenly Sept. 26 at the Norse Home in Seattle. He was born Feb 19, 1914 in Bergen, Norway.

He and his wife Signe were married Nov. 28, 1942. She preceded him in death in 1996.

The couple lived for many years in Seattle. While recovering from a fall this spring, he was a resident of Island Health and Rehabilitation Center on Bainbridge, before returning to his home and friends at the Norse Home in Seattle.

He is survived by his son, Bjorn Lunde, his wife Gunda, and their children Andreas and Katarina, of Bainbridge Island; daughter Astrid Feldman, her husband Roger, and their children, Kirsten and Kyle; his sister, a resident of Norway; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Oct. 4 at the Norse Home in Seattle. Remembrances may be made to the Seattle-Bergen Sister City Association.
