Morgan Dale Van Aken

April 24, 1942 – May 31, 2011

      Morgan Dale Van Aken, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at The Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Seattle, Washington. He was born on April 24, 1942 in Los Angeles, California and was 69 years of age.

      Morgan was a US Navy Veteran and worked as a scientist in cancer research. He is survived by his wife Vikki Van Aken, children; Peter, Brad and Patrick Van Aken, also Ashley Frandsen and Alicia Van Aken. He also leaves behind his mother Mary Jane Van Aken and siblings; Mary Lou Swim, Rex, Kenneth, David and Mike Van Aken. There are 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth D. Van Aken and son Ryan D. Van Aken.

      Family and friends attended the Funeral Service on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 2:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – Bainbridge Island Ward, 8677 Madison Avenue NE, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110. A viewing preceded the funeral in the Relief Society Room, from 1:00 – 1:45. Interment will take place at Seabold Cemetery on Bainbridge Island.
