Bainbridge Island resident Patricia Ann Munjone, age 61, died March 24 at her home.
She was born Dec. 14, 1941 in Allentown, Pa., to Ernest and Sarah (Petruska) Munjone.
Following graduation from Allentown High School in 1959, she joined the Army.
She left military service for work with the Los Angeles County treasurer as a retirement specialist from 1961-1977. Following that, she moved to Washington and worked for the United States Government Department of Education until 1982 and later for the Department of Defense as a Contracting Specialist.
From 1995 until the time of her death, she was a financial analyst for Primerica Financial Services.
She enjoyed people, children, family, and had a passion for the healing arts. She was an avid learner and held a doctorate in metaphysics.
She is survived by her friend of 26 years, Sharon Alston, Bainbridge Island; one son, Deon Munjone, Suquamish; one god-son, Jamil Alston, Seattle; one brother, Ernest Munjone, Jr., Central Valley, Pa., and sister Diane Gollinger, Allentown, Pa.
Graveside services were held March 27 at Tahoma National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. April 2 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church.
