Patricia ‘Pat’ Clifford

Former Bainbridge Island resident Patricia “Pat” Clifford died April 23. She was 101.

She was born May 31, 1902, in Prienai, Lithuania, to Matt and Magdalena Kachulis. She came to America with her family in 1911, and they settled in Tacoma.

She moved to Bainbridge Island in 1970, and celebrated her 100th birthday at the Winslow Arms apartments where she lived.

She enjoyed being with people, playing bingo and pinochle; she was a volunteer at the Bainbridge Island Senior Community Center thrift shop, and was a member of Unity Church.

For the last two years, she was a resident of Cedars at Park Rose Assisted Living in Tacoma.

She is survived by daughter Anita (Don) Willsey of Tacoma and son Stan (Lucille) Keders of Sun City, Calif.; and four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde, and three brothers and two sisters.

At her request, there will be no services. Memorials can be made to the the BI Senior Center.
