She was born in the Port Blakely neighborhood of Bainbridge on Nov. 2, 1910, to Alfred and Amanda Anderson.

She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church for many years and was one of the first to help establish the Senior Friendship Club, now known as the Senior Center. She also spent a lot of her free time volunteering at the Island Health and Rehabilitation Center, and she became a friend and family to many residents there.
She enjoyed gardening, singing, working on crossword puzzles and seeing her many friends.
