Robert L. “Roy” Upham, age 65, of Suquamish, died April 13.

He was born Sept. 28, 1938, in Polson, Mont.

He was self-employed as an interior designer. In the mid-1970s, he founded the Hobby Horse restaurant on Bainbridge Island.

He is survived by his companion Wesley Jacobson of Suquamish; stepbrother Tim Jensen and aunt Beatrice Atkinson, both of Montana.

A gathering will be held from 2-6 p.m. April 24 at the Golden Dragon Restaurant in Poulsbo.
