Long-time Bainbridge Island resident Robert Martin, age 87, died April 10 in Jackson, Wyoming.
He was born Oct. 15, 1914.
He and his wife Frances lived in the Port Madison community since 1964, where he was active in the water company and served as its superintendent during the 1970s.
The couple moved to Jackson, Wyoming several months ago to be close to family.
He worked in construction until his retirement in 1972. He enjoyed the water and helping his neighbors.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Frances; daughter Sally (Ed) Ruosch of Jackson, Wyoming; son James of Honolulu, Hawaii; granddaughters Deborah Ruosch of Santa Monica, California, and Wendy (Ben) Meyring of Jackson, Wyoming; and great-granddaughters Regan and Kaitlin Meyring of Jackson, Wyoming.
