Sally Elizabeth Grice, of Gardner, Wash., and formerly of Bainbridge Island, died on April 1 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 57.
She was born on Aug. 11, 1951 to Stephen and Lillian Grice, grew up in the California Bay Area and moved to Bainbridge Island in 1979 with her son, Stephen.
She was a registered LPN and loved taking care of her patients. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing and being with her two granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her father, Stephen Grice, and niece Michelle Grice.
She is survived by her son, Stephen (Theresa) Sawvel; granddaughters Grace and Lillian Sawvel; mother Lillian (Ray) Bean; older brothers Stephen (Gloria) Grice, Art Grice, and Tom Grice; younger sister Linda (Jeff) Pascoe; niece Rena Grice; and nephews Kyle Grice and Ryan and Daniel Pascoe. She is also survived by her dear friend, Steve Allan, and many more friends.
A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to noon April 11 and the funeral service at 1 p.m. at Seabold United Methodist Church. Interment will take place at Seabold Cemetery. A reception will follow at Art’s Studio Gallery. An online guestbook is at www.cookfamilyfuneralhome.com.
