Thomas Patrick Keefe, age 82, died March 29 after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.
He was born April 21, 1919 in the Seattle area. A member of “The Greatest Generation” who came of age during World War II, he led a career as a trial attorney. He was an active member of the Washington State, King County and American bar associations for over 50 years.
A Seattle native, he spent summers on Bainbridge during the 1950s, establishing residency here from 1973-90. He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, and several of his children attended Bainbridge schools.
He is survived by his wife Anne, who resides at the family home on Whidbey Island; his nine children Robert M. (Karen), Thomas P. Jr. (Joanne Kauffman), Kevin F. (Jean Primozich), Joanne E. (Peter Moote), Dennis J. (Cheryl), Laurie (Robert LeMay), Colleen (Steve Rayner), Kerry (Norman Shaffer) and Molly (Peter Nicoletta) and nineteen grandchildren.
A private family memorial mass was held at Saint Martin’s College. A memorial cocktail party will be held 2-5 p.m. April 27 at Daybreak Star Cultural Center, in Discovery Park in Seattle; call 325-3333.
