Donald J. Trump’s 41st week in the presidency included:
• A guilty plea on criminal charges from a Trump campaign aide;
• Two criminal indictments against former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and campaign aide Rick Gates for conspiracy against the United States;
• The largest terrorist attack in New York City since Sept. 11, 2001; and
• The unveiling of a GOP “tax reform and jobs” package that’s actually a trillion dollar-plus expansion of the federal deficit and a giveaway to corporations and the uber-wealthly.
What’s a president to do?
In Trump’s case, it’s time to unleash another Twitter tantrum and demand the Justice Department and the FBI investigate his former presidential rival, Hillary Clinton.
Obviously, there was no shortage of topics this week for newspaper cartoonists around the globe.
