We begin this week’s introduction to our continuing cartoon chronicle of the 45th president with a riddle.
Which is louder: the sound of the latest shoe to drop or the Trump tweet that follows?
The Rob Porter scandal in the White House was quickly replaced by the scandal of multiple top White House employees without security clearances, which was then overshadowed by the latest school shooting, this time in Florida.
Which was then overtaken by news Friday of the indictment in the investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 Election.
And kept off the golf course by the tragedy in Parkland, Trump turned to Twitter for a tweet tantrum overnight Saturday and into Sunday.
Don’t blame this week’s editorial cartoonists if they couldn’t keep up; most had the weekend off.
