BAINBRIDGE – More than 150 students came to tryouts for winter sports at Bainbridge High School this year, which began Monday for all but gymnastics, which started last week.
A total of 151 student athletes sought to participate in winter sports, school officials reported earlier this week, which include gymnastics, wrestling, boys swimming and diving, and girls and boys basketball.
The boys swimming and diving team had the most participants, 42, though both gymnastics and boys basketball had impressive turnouts as well: 36 students each.
Girls basketball, led this year by new Head Coach Henry Guterson, saw 20 athletes come to tryouts. Wrestling received 17.
