SEATTLE – Bainbridge notched an 11-1 six-inning, run-rule victory over West Seattle in girls varsity fastpitch last week behind a mammoth offensive effort by Maddie Loverich.
Loverich hit a pair of home runs, including her third grand slam of the season, drove in six runs and scored three times to lead the Spartans.
Malia Peato was nearly as impressive in the circle, allowing only one run on five hits while striking out 11 to improve her record to 6-3.
Morgan Lassoff went 2-for-4 for Bainbridge, with an RBI and two runs scored, while Sara Colley finished 3-for-5 with an RBI.
The West Seattle win — plus a forfeit win over Eastside Catholic — moved the Spartans’ league record to 9-3, one game behind Holy Names.
