The Roosevelt High Roughriders found the path through Bainbridge a little bumpier than they expected, but still managed to come out on top after Tuesday’s varsity boys basketball battle.
The game’s final score saw the visitors up 61-52 over the island squad.
Record-wise, the loss at home evened up the Spartan season 1-1 overall (0-1 in conference play).
Overall, the second quarter remained the highest scoring for the Spartans (18) and junior guard Brendan Burke lead the team individually with 19 points.
Marcus Clyde managed 12 points for Bainbridge, and Lyle Terry finished the night with 11.
The Spartans will travel to play Garfield – on the top teams in the state – at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, before returning home to host O’Dea at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15.
