Bainbridge boys bested by Sealth

The Bainbridge High varsity boys basketball team was defeated 71-59 on the road by the Chief Sealth squad.

SEATTLE – The Bainbridge High varsity boys basketball team was defeated 71-59 on the road by the Chief Sealth squad Tuesday, Jan. 19.

The Spartans led at the start, up 14-13 by the end of the first quarter, and would stay ahead until the second half, which began with them still ahead 32-30.

It was not to last.

The third saw Sealth pull ahead and outscore the Spartans for the first time (24-19), and the fourth quarter bore witness to a decisive run by the host, outscoring BHS 17-8 for the win.

Brendan Burke led BHS on the board with 23 points.

Eric White put up 10, the only other Spartan to break double digits, and both Lyle Terry and Blake Bieber managed eight.
