BAINBRIDGE – The Bainbridge High boys varsity water polo team announced their post-season awards, having finished seventh in the state during the season’s recent final tournament.
Cade Taylor swept the votes in three categories to claim “Best Defensive Player,” “Best Team Player” and “Strongest Character” of the year.
The “Most Improved” player was Sam Kapel.
Several Spartans were named as honorable mentions on the All-State Team including Taylor, Jem Bullock and Riker Haddon.
Taylor was named to the first All-League Team, with Bullock and Will Thompson claiming spots on the second. Harrison Shinohara earned an honorable mention.
Next year’s team captains were also decided.
Bullock and Jack Kapel will lead the 2015 squad.
