The Spartans boys lacrosse team has been hot lately, winning against Puyallup and Lakeside by a score of 41-10.
“The team is really starting to mature and come together,” said Bainbridge head coach Jack Visco.
Against Puyallup early last week, the Spartans dominated.
They scored 21 goals and allowed just four. Of the 21 goals Jake Knostman accounted for 11 as he threw in six goals and added five assists.
“He is a difference maker,” said Visco of Knostman.
Aside from the leader Knostman, Greg Shea has also been stepping it up for the Spartans, as he scored four.
“(Shea) has been getting it all done in the midfield and is really coming into his own,” said Visco.
After a slow start Wednesday against Lakeside, Bainbridge came through late in the game and once again dominated.
Visco said Max Wysong and Shea did an outstanding job with the face-offs and it gave the Spartans a ground control advantage.
Behind the play of Shea, Wysong and Knostman, who again had a monster game scoring six and dishing out four assists, the Spartans again scored 20 goals, and achieved their third consecutive win.
