SEATTLE – The seemingly straight shutout win by Ballard against the Bainbridge High boys varsity soccer team last week has been overturned due to a technicality, clearing the Spartans’ record of the loss.
“Ballard played an ineligible player and have had to forfeit the game,” said Spartan Head Coach Ian McCallum. “They will be updating the score soon.”
The game had been the Spartans’ second of the year, also their second on the road, sandwiched between two ties: a 2-2 debut against Kingston and a scoreless home opener against West Seattle.
